The Department of Malayalam at Government College Mokeri was established in 1981 and salient features are :- Malayalam language and literature are positioned within a comprehensive humanistic framework, allowing students to explore their connections with diverse cultures and traditions. Students are empowered with advanced proficiency in Malayalam, enabling them to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving world, fulfilling national development objectives and responding to global demands. The Malayalam Department leverages multicultural strengths and values to foster a vibrant, intellectually rigorous environment, enhancing students’ communication skills through a stimulating curriculum, innovative teaching methods, and the integration of the latest technology in the learning process. Students’ analytical, writing, and creative abilities are further developed through studies in literature, rhetoric, composition, and creative writing. VisionThe Department places particular emphasis on treating oriental languages and literatures in a broad humanistic context, taking care to examine them with reference to the cultures and cultural traditions within which they exist and have developed.
