A session on “Higher Educational Opportunities for B.Sc. Mathematics Students” was organized
for the first-year B.Sc. Mathematics students of Govt. College Mokeri on 1st December 2023.
The event took place from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and featured a talk by Dr. Ratheesh P. M.,
Assistant Professor of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Cochin University of
Science and Technology (CUSAT). The purpose of the session was to provide students with
insights into the higher education options available at CUSAT that are suitable for mathematics
graduates.

An academic interaction session was held on 13th March 2024 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM for
the second-semester M.Sc. Mathematics students of Govt. College Mokeri. The event featured a
lecture by Dr. A. Padmanabhan, retired professor and former Head of the Department of
Mathematics, who delivered an insightful talk on the fundamental concepts of Real Analysis.

The seminar on “What Linear Algebra is About?” was held in continuation with the Mathematics
Association inauguration for the year 2023-24. Dr. T. K. Muraleedharan, a renowned expert in the
field of mathematics, delivered an insightful presentation that covered the fundamental concepts
and applications of linear algebra

A Career Orientation Programme was organized for the 5th semester UG Mathematics students
of Govt. College Mokeri on 13th June 2023. The event, aimed at guiding students on potential
career paths in mathematics, took place from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, with Dr. Muhammed Abdul
Kayoom, a trained educational counselor from PTM Govt. College, Perinthalmanna, as the
resource person.
